Privacy Policy

What data 1xAlpha collects, how it is used, and your choices.

DRAFT โ€” this document is a structured placeholder prepared by 1xAlpha and requires final review by qualified legal counsel before public launch. It is not legal advice and no part of it should be relied upon as final terms.

Version Beta 0.9.0

1. Data We Collect

Account data: name, email, password credential material (hashed, never stored in readable form), verification and session records.

Profile data: Alpha Passport information you choose to publish โ€” company, role, expertise, industries, markets, what you can help with and what you need.

Financial data: Alpha CFO information is optional. It is private to your account and is never shown to other members.

AI conversations: your Ask Alpha prompts and responses, retained so you can revisit them and so quality issues can be investigated.

Market activity: watchlists, followed themes and saved research.

Network activity: connections, introduction requests, room membership and messages.

Device and technical data: IP address, browser and device metadata, and security event records.

2. How We Use Data

To operate the platform, review applications, match members, secure accounts, and improve the product using aggregate analytics.

3. AI Processing

Permission is enforced before any data enters an AI context. Alpha CFO figures and market watchlists are only used by Ask Alpha if you switch that on in Privacy settings. No other member's private data is ever placed in your AI context.

4. Service Providers

1xAlpha uses infrastructure, AI and payment providers to deliver the service. Payment card data is collected by the payment provider's hosted checkout and is never received or stored by 1xAlpha.

5. Retention

Data is retained while your account is active and for the period afterwards configured by the operator. Records required for audit, security or billing purposes may be retained longer.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed with a salted, iterated key-derivation function. Access is enforced server-side per object. Administrator actions are audit-logged and security events are recorded.

7. Your Rights

You can export your data, correct your profile, adjust privacy settings, delete your Alpha CFO profile separately, and request account deletion.

8. Data Deletion

Account deletion is requested in Settings, confirmed with your password, and completed after a short waiting period. Records required by law or for billing and audit purposes are preserved or anonymised.

9. International Transfers

Data may be processed outside your country by the providers listed above. Specific transfer mechanisms require legal review.

10. Cookies

1xAlpha uses a necessary session cookie for authentication. Analytics and preference categories are consent-based โ€” see the Cookie Policy.

11. Contact
